Time Is Running Out to Apply for MedCity’s Largest Pitch Contest of the Year

With five tracks of startups across healthcare and life sciences, INVEST Pitch Perfect, scheduled for May 22-24 at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago, is MedCity’s largest startup pitch contest of the year. 

MedCity INVEST, held at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago, offers entrepreneurs an opportunity to highlight their companies to an audience of healthcare investors and collaboration partners. With five tracks of startups across healthcare and life sciences, INVEST Pitch Perfect, scheduled for May 22-24, is MedCity’s largest startup pitch contest of the year. The conference is held in collaboration with the Mid America Healthcare Investors Network (MHIN) and offers lots of opportunities for companies to network with investors.

Startups will pitch across five tracks including:

  • Biopharma
  • Diagnostics
  • Medical Devices
  • Health Tech: Consumers/Employers
  • Health Tech: Payers/Providers

There is no fee to apply. Applications will be reviewed by investment professionals. Six finalists will be selected for each of the five tracks.

The deadline to submit an application is January 30.

Startups must be registered for the conference in order to participate in the pitch contest. Each winner will receive up to $20,000 of advertising on MedCityNews.com.

The criteria for applicants include:

  • Startups must be founded in the last five years (no earlier than 2018)
  • Raised a Seed round of capital and/or looking for Series A or Series B funding

Startups will be reviewed on criteria including:

  • Solution
  • Completeness of business plan
  • Market opportunities
  • Founders’ experience
  • Comps and reimbursement model
  • Pilots
